Director of Campus-Community Partnership – program initiated to advance the social engagement of institutions of higher education, assist faculty members in developing community-engaged courses, and encourage students to volunteer and act towards social justice and human rights.

Founding Director of Bat Shalom(1993-1997) – feminist grassroots peace organization of Jewish and Palestinian Israeli women.

 

Founding member of B'Tselem – the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, and the organization's first Research Director. As Research Director particularly known are her reports written with Prof. Stanley Cohen on the torture of Palestinians under arrest in Israel: The Interrogation of Palestinians During the Intifada: Ill-treatment, "Moderate Physical Pressure" or Torture?. (Jerusalem, Btselem, 1991)
